South Jersey businessman and well-known Democrat George Norcross on Monday said he may sue the Philadelphia Eagles after he was removed from Sunday's game vs. the Dallas Cowboys for showing support to Israel.

The Norcross said he was kicked out and assaulted by the non-police security staff for refusing to take down an American and Israeli flag he had hung off his private box at Lincoln Financial Field.

In a statement released after the incident, the political powerbroker said he it remains unclear to him why Eagles/NFL deemed U.S-Israeli flag "obscene or indecent"

"Yesterday, I was forcibly removed and assaulted by the non-police security staff of Lincoln Financial Field and the Eagles/NFL for refusing to remove a 3' x5' American and Israeli flag I'd hung off the box I was sitting in. As a longtime passionate fan and season ticket holder, I have watched the Eagles/NFL make clear and strong statements on numerous important civil justice issues and ethnic and world conflicts, including supporting the people of Ukraine, so as a strong supporter of Israel -- a country which was viciously attacked by the terrorist group Hamas less than a month ago -- I thought it was an important statement to make."

"It remains unclear why the Eagles/NFL believe that the US-Israeli flag should be deemed "obscene or indecent" or otherwise inappropriate -- which is what I was cited for -- and should therefore be ripped down despite both issuing public statements strongly supporting Israel following the October 7th attacks," he said.

Donald Norcross, his brother and Camden Democrat, also took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to address the issue.

"Isn't it ironic that last night's Eagles game began with a tribute to our veterans complete with a flyover from New Jersey's 177th fighter wing, yet a display of the American flag is controversial?"

The event transpired roughly 11 minutes into the second quarter of a matchup against their archrival, the Dallas Cowboys.

Despite the incident, Philadelphia secured a 28-23 victory, aided by a last-second defensive stand.
