George Clooney, wife Amal Clooney celebrate wedding anniversary in style in New York

The celebrity pair George Clooney and Amal Clooney celebrated their wedding anniversary in New York City. Photographers captured the two strollings hand-in-hand as they left for date night.

44-year-old Amal looked stunning in a zebra-print pleated skirt, a matching purse, a black turtleneck, and sky-high Balmain stiletto cut-out boots. George, 61, matched his wife's all-black ensemble, which included a black suit and a black button-down. The Clooneys, who have 5-year-old twins Alexander and Ella, married in a star-studded ceremony in Venice, Italy on September 27, 2014.

Their wedding was one of the most talked-about events of the year, with roughly 100 people in attendance, including prominent friends like Matt Damon and Bono, for three days of partying followed by a lovely civil ceremony. The couple stated that they chose Venice as their wedding site since it is the most romantic city in the world. They met in Italy and had property there.




They've also given their support to philanthropic initiatives. Before their night out on Tuesday, the Clooneys appeared on CBS Mornings with Gayle King to talk about their war-time lobbying work through the Clooney Foundation for Justice. George also stated on the morning news show that the pair is actively researching war crimes in Ukraine and that the charity is working on the effort.
