Clooney, who is currently playing the role of renowned journalist Edward R. Murrow in the stage version of his 2005 film Good Night, and Good Luck, was just nominated for a Tony Award.

When the celebrity was spotted on May 6 in New York City, he was dressed in khaki trousers and a black leather jacket, but keen-eyed fans noticed a significant change beneath his white baseball cap, a sper a report by Parade.

Clooney later admitted that he disliked his makeover. He acknowledged that because people didn't recognise him with the darker hairstyle, it provided him with a certain amount of anonymity on the street.

What did his wife, Amal, really think of the new look?

In an interview with CBS Mornings, George Clooney was candid about his distaste for the dark dye job, telling Gayle King, "I know it's not good!"

Clooney described the dark hair as "horrible" in a recent interview with CNN's Jake Tapper. He also acknowledged that his wife, Amal Clooney, didn't like the "bad look".
