Genshin Impact banner update: Here’s everything you may want to know

Genshin Impact offers banners that let players have a chance to obtain various characters — including both new additions and returning fighters. These banners, which feature exciting 5-star characters, play a significant role in shaping the game's meta and pick rates.

Current banners

As of June 23, 2023, the current Genshin Impact banners are the Alhaitham and Kazuha rerun banners, which were released on June 13. These banners allow players to unlock the 5-star characters Alhaitham and Kazuha, alongside several 4-star characters: Yaoyao (Dendro), Heizou (Anemo), and Xiangling (Pyro). If you're interested in acquiring these characters, you still have time as the current banners will conclude on July 4, 2023.


Apart from character banners, Genshin Impact also features a weapon banner called the Epitome Invocation. In the 3.7 update, this banner showcases rate-ups for several weapons, including 5-star weapons like the Light of Foliar Incision and Freedom-Sworn, as well as 4-star weapons, such as Favonius Codex, Favonius Sword, Mooun's Moon, Sacrificial Greatsword, and Wavebreaker's Fin. Like the character banners, the weapon banner will also end on July 4, 2023.

Upcoming banners

The next Genshin Impact banner, version 3.8 will bring back two reruns: Eula and Klee. If leaks are to be believed, these banners might also introduce 4-star characters — Mika (Cryo), Rosaria (Cryo), Razor (Electro), Faruzan (Anemo), Thoma (Pyro) and Yanfei (Pyro). Additionally, in Phase 2 of the 3.8 update, players can expect another rerun featuring Scaramouche and Kokomi, potentially accompanied by 4-star characters Faruzan (Anemo), Thoma (Pyro) and Yanfei (Pyro).
