The new "GamesMaster" theme involves reviews of video games appealing mainly to a young audience and where ordinary people compete with celebrities for the "Golden Joystick" prize.

The "GamesMaster" show is set to return to BBC Channel 4 in 2023, and the new game is being devised to engage today's young generation. The idea is to talk about video games, discuss certain features and game themes, provide tips about how to play the game and pit ordinary people against celebrities for the coveted 'golden joystick', the supreme GamesMaster recognition. Apart from discussing the new games, the plan is to create a whole ecosystem of video games on Channel 4 for young people to access from various platforms and be a part of.

In 2021 Channel 4 got back "GamesMaster" with Dominik Diamond as the host talking with many sexual innuendos and double engenders. The adolescents had a whale of a time absorbing his words and enjoying the show. One hundred fifty-two million people tuned in to the show.
