Primarily, both of them were actually scheduled to return with a SpaceX Crew-9 mission in the month of February of the year 2025. But recent reports are revealing that delays in preparing a new Crew Dragon capsule have actually pushed back this timeline, asserted New York Post.

NASA announced that the next crew rotation named Crew-10 will now launch no earlier than late March in the year 2025. Now this means that Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams will spend nearly ten months in space instead of the planned week while they await the arrival of their replacements to ensure a smooth transition at the ISS, noted New York Post.
