From Mission Impossible to Final Destination installments, check out the most-awaited releases for 2025

Cinemark on Monday listed some of the major theatrical releases that are scheduled to hit the silver screen throughout the year. These include the latest installments to various popular movie franchises such as Mission Impossible and The Karate Kid.

Final Destination: Bloodlines set to release next month

One of the highly anticipated releases that is scheduled to hit the screens this year is Final Destination: Bloodlines. It will be released on May 16. The film comes more than 14 years after its predecessor's release in 2011. Jurassic World Rebirth, which is the seventh overall installment in the Jurassic Park franchise, is also slated for release this July.

The lineup for 2025 also includes Superman, which is the first film in the DC Universe (DCU). The Accountant 2, which will see Ben Affleck reprise his role from The Accountant, is also one of the highly awaited Hollywood theatrical releases for 2025. Zootopia 2 will also hit the screens later in the year.

Cinemark hails A Minecraft Movie's success

Cinemark listed the upcoming releases as it hailed the box office success of A Minecraft Movie. The theatre chain said it achieved a record three-day domestic opening weekend for a PG-rated film, thanks to the live-action release. A Minecraft Movie also helped Cinemark generate its highest grossing D-Box motion seats weekend ever, the company said.

“Cinemark auditoriums were packed with enthusiastic fans as A Minecraft Movie built a must-see-on-the-big-screen experience for moviegoers of all ages, driving an all-time family film record as well as best-ever D-BOX motion seat ticket sales weekend for our company,” Cinemark President & CEO Sean Gamble was quoted as saying in an official release.
