He launched his football career in 2008 with Charlton Athletic and played his first match against Addick. He was a midfielder and made only three appearances for this club before moving to Scunthorpe United the next year.

He played 71 matches for this club, but as Scunthorpe United were relegated to tier two, Wright moved to Millwall in 2011.

This midfielder made 100 appearances for League One side Gillingham. Josh was at the top of his career when he played against Manchester United in 2011.

Playing for Scunthorpe United in a Carling Cup game, he scored a goal, but his side lost 2-5 to Manchester.

However, Josh Wright is in the news for the BBC One travel show. It follows Josh who crosses Snowdonia on his mountain bike, bungee jumping from Garry Bridge in Scotland, and skydiving in Skegness. BBC one has pinned its hopes on the midfielder.
