2. Fig
Enjoy fresh fig that are easy and quicker to grow in warm regions. You can also dry them up or cook them into desserts. For the ones staying in colder regions, the best way is to plant these in containers and later put them indoors during winter season.
These are considered "rapid growers" and can produce fruit within a year or two, said Tammy Sons, founder and CEO of TN Nursery.
3. Loquat
Another bright option to look forward to are the Loquats, the stone fruit trees which are typically found in warm climates. These provide a harvest of golden fruits, which are quite similar to plums. However, make sure that your residence is not in the regions that have winter temperatures going down below 28 degree Fahrenheit.
4. Columnar Apple
It's not easy to have apple trees across all regions, but Columnar apple certainly is an exception as these grow up fast and do not require you to wait for longer durations for a harvest. These grow upwards, while the fruit can be seen along the main stem.
These can thrive with nearly 6-8 hours of sunlight every day along with well-drained soil. The fruit-bearing time is a year.
5. Mulberry
These low-maintenance perennials are capable enough to produce fresh and sweet mulberries in quick time, especially during the months of June and July. These will produce fruit during the second year and reach the heights of 10-15 feet.
