The total prize money for the Roland Garros tournament has reached an impressive €43.9 million this year, reflecting a notable 13.76 percent increase from the previous year. As a result of his exceptional performance in Paris, Djokovic will be awarded prize money amounting to €2,300,000 ($2,496,039), which represents a 4.55 percent increase compared to twelve months ago. Meanwhile, the runner-up, Casper Ruud, will receive €1,150,000 ($1,248,019) in recognition of his commendable efforts.
Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev, the two semifinalists who narrowly missed the final showdown, will each receive a substantial sum of €630,000 ($683,698). On the other hand, players such as Stefanos Tsitsipas, Karen Khachanov, Holger Rune, and Tomas Martín Etcheverry, who were eliminated during the quarterfinals, will be granted a respectable payment of €400,000 ($434,094).
Participants who were eliminated in the pre-quarterfinals will each be rewarded with €240,000 ($260,456), while those exiting the tournament during the Round of 32 will receive €142,000 ($154,103). Competitors who made their exit in the second round will still receive a substantial sum of €97,000 ($105,268), whereas those unfortunate enough to be eliminated in the first round will be entitled to €69,000 ($74,881).
As for the winners of the French Open 2023 doubles tournament, the pair consisting of Dodig and Krajicek will be presented with a prize money amounting to €590,000 ($614,231). On the other hand, the runners-up, Gille and Vliegen, will be duly compensated with a payment of €295,000 ($307,116).
The semifinalist teams who narrowly missed their chance at the doubles final will each be granted €148,000 ($154,078), while the pairs eliminated during the quarterfinals will receive a payment of €80,000 ($83,286) as a token of their impressive performance.
Participants who reached the third round but were unable to progress further will each receive €43,000 ($44,766). Those who fell short in the second round will still be recognized for their participation with a payment of €27,000 ($28,109) per pair. Finally, the pairs that were unable to advance past the opening round will each be awarded €17,000 ($17,698) for their contribution to the tournament.
