French Montana and Rob49’s music video shooting: Multiple people get injured in Miami gunfire

Multiple people have got injured in a gunfire, which took place outside French Montana and Rob49’s music video shoot in Miami on Thursday (January 5), media reports said.

The firing incident happened outside a soul food restaurant called The Licking in Miami Gardens. This comes as rappers, French Montana and Rob49, were recording a music video in the area, as per WFOR-TV.

Rob49 was one of the victims in the incident, as per some reports.


In a statement, Miami Gardens police chief Delma Noel-Pratt said, “It is believed to be an isolated incident.”



The paramedics and Miami-Dade fire rescue have responded to the scene and around four of the victims have been sent to the hospitals. One person is in critical condition, the reports said.

Although it is unclear how many people were shot, the number of injured in the incident has been reported to be 10 by The Miami Herald, which cited a law enforcement source.

But at the scene, Diana Gourgue, spokesperson, Miami Gardens police told reporters that she cannot confirm reports that around 10 people have been injured. Gourgue said that till now, multiple victims have been injured.

There were no fatalities and the condition of the injured is still unknown, Gourgue added.

Around 13 to15 gunshots were heard and people could be seen running from the scene, a witness told a media outlet.

At least 13, 14, 15 gunshots were heard. It was very rapid and sounded like an assault rifle. I started running while looking back. Then I thought I should duck first. People also started asking me for help, the witness added.

No information has been provided by the police about the possible suspects so far. At this time, the status of all the victims, and the rappers, is also unknown.
