Apple TV+ has disclosed the first glimpses of Franklin led by Michael Douglas, a limited series following the time in the life of Benjamin Franklin with him setting on a top-secret assignment to France with the destiny of American Independence hanging in the balance. The release's announcement is a constituent of "Here's What's New in 2024" on Apple TV+, featuring 1-2 second clips from more than a dozen movies arriving on the streaming platform this year.

Franklin will be premiering worldwide with its initial three episodes on April 12, on Friday with the launch of a season consisting of eight episodes promising to bring one of the most legendary figures of America (where numerous actors including the late Tom Wilkinson earlier played the role). The executive producer of the series is Michael Doughlas and is based on A Great Improvisation: Franklin, France and the Birth of America, by Stacy Shiff, the Pulitzer winner's recognized book. The limited series will captivate the audiences with the enthralling story of the judicious mission of Benjamin Franklin, proving crucial in the American Revolution.

Franklin: Cast and creative team

The series boasts of an incredible cast which includes Theodore Pellerin, Noah Jupe, Ludivine Sagnier, Assaad Bouab, Thibault de Montalembert, Daniel Mays, Jeanne Balibar, Eddie Marsan playing central figures from this historical era.
