Four-part ITVX series ‘Litvinenko’: David Tennant plays role of Alexander Litvinenko
Taking on the role of Alexander Litvinenko in the four-part ITVX series Litvinenko, David Tennant is back for another fictionalised account of actual events.

In the history of the Metropolitan Police, it was regarded as one of the most "dangerous and complex" investigations.
Margarita Levieva plays the wife of Litvinenko in the show. Mark Bonnar, a star of Line of Duty and Unforgotten, plays the detective who oversaw the investigation. Barry Sloane, Daniel Ryan, Richard Pepper, and Neil Maskell are other actors who appear in the programme. Barry Sloane plays a detective assigned to interrogate the protagonist from his hospital bed in the days preceding his demise.
Litvinenko will be one of the significant launches to coincide with the launch of ITVX, the broadcaster's new free streaming platform that will replace the ITV Hub and promises a wide range of flagship shows. On December 15, Litvinenko will be released to ITVX.
ITVX is accessible from your browser and location where you have previously watched the ITV Hub (such as via NOW or the Amazon Fire Stick). Users can only access it if they own a Smart TV that was once capable of showing the ITV Hub Sky Q.
At some point in 2023, Litvinenko will also air on ITV1. On December 16, AMC and Sundance Now will premiere the entire Litvinenko series in the US.
