According to a post on its official X handle, the server downtime, part of the rollout of patch v37.00, is expected to last longer than usual due to the scale of the update.
Typically, Fortnite updates take 3–4 hours, but this one may extend up to 5 hours, which means servers could return online around 6 to 7 am ET.
Matchmaking was disabled 30 minutes before the update, at 1:30 am ET. Players hoping to unlock remaining Battle Pass content from Season 3, including standard, LEGO, and OG passes, had a final opportunity before downtime began.
Fortnite’s official status account hinted that this update could be the biggest yet, so players may need to wait slightly longer before jumping into the new action-packed season.
