Former US president Donald Trump kickstarts election season with first rally in Pennsylvania. See details

Former US president Donald Trump begins the election season by visiting Pennsylvania to attend the first rally of his next election campaign. Hoping to win the Presidential race for the second time, Trump looks to make all-out efforts.

The former President and a hopeful in the next elections, Donald Trump, made his way to Pennsylvania to speak at a rally organised there. It will be Trump’s first public appearance after the FBI raided his residence at Mar-a-Lago. The visit attempts to rekindle his Presidential campaign once again as the election season starts.

The rally is on Saturday, wherein Trump will make his speech. On Thursday, the current President, Joe Biden, recently delivered an impactful speech at the Independence Hall in Delphialphia. Biden’s speech was directed towards the MAGA Republicans.

Besides Trump, the rally would see other speakers like Mehmet Oz and Doug Mastriano. Mastriano, a Gubernatorial candidate, supports Trump’s claims about last elections. He has also pledged to change the State’s voting practices.

If Mastriano wins the 2022 elections, he will have a considerable impact on 2024. However, with a problematic campaign, Mastriano might endanger the chances of Republician candidates throughout the US.
Meanwhile, the current President is expected to visit Pennsylvania over the Labour Day weekend.

The election race in the US
Midterm elections are scheduled for November 8 this year. Both Democrats and Republicans are fighting hard to stay relevant in the race. However, Pennsylvania holds considerable importance in the upcoming elections. Politically, Pennsylvania offers 18 House seats, a Senate seat and a Governor’s mansion. However, what is noteworthy is its capacity to swing from Democrats to Republicans and vice-versa.

It is evident from the political shift in the suburban areas that were once Republican. Such areas have now moved to favour Democrats. On the other hand, the Democratic stronghold of the Rust Belt areas has supported Trump in the past.

With the ease of swinging the vote in either’s favour, Democrats and Republicans are thronging to Pennsylvania to make their mark.
