Former teammates square off as Arkansas Razorbacks face Alabama Crimson tide

At 2:30 p.m. today at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, the No. 20 University of Arkansas Razorbacks and Gibbs' No. 2 Alabama Crimson Tide will square off against each other. For lousy Georgia Tech teams, Ordan Domineck and Jahmyr Gibbs were influential players. As SEC newcomers, Domineck and Gibbs are already thriving.

Domineck, a fifth-year senior defensive end, is tied for fifth nationally with 4.5 sacks and 13 total tackles.

With 17 catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns as well as 25 carries for 172 yards, junior running back Gibbs is Alabama's top receiver.





Although Domineck and Gibbs were on the team, Georgia Tech never had more than a three-game winning streak.

For the Yellow Jackets in 31 games, Domineck recorded 103 tackles, including 17 for lost yards and nine sacks.

At Georgia Tech, Gibbs played in 18 games and gained 1,206 yards, eight touchdowns on the ground and 768 yards, and five touchdowns on 59 receptions.

Domineck, a Lakeland, Florida native, had offers from Central Florida, Auburn, Penn State, Michigan State, Iowa State, Nebraska, and Arkansas before he joined the transfer portal.

With 20, Domineck has contributed to the Razorbacks' national lead in sacks, which is now held by Alabama transfer linebacker Drew Sanders (5.5).
