Kerdiles born in Irvine, California, made history by becoming the first player from Orange County to be drafted by the Anaheim Ducks back in 2012. While he was a second-round pick, his NHL career consisted of two seasons with the Ducks, spanning from 2016 to 2018. However, he was later traded to the Winnipeg Jets, though he never got the chance to don a Jets uniform.
During his time in Anaheim, Kerdiles participated in three games but did not manage to record any points on the scoreboard.
In the wake of this tragic news, the Anaheim Ducks expressed their condolences through social media, stating, "We're heartbroken to hear the news about Nic Kerdiles. Our thoughts and deepest sympathies go out to his family and loved ones."
Savannah Chrisley, mourning the loss of her ex-fiancé, shared her feelings on her Instagram story, expressing hope for a response to her text. In a heartfelt tribute, she referred to Kerdiles as the "most beautiful angel".
“Heaven gained the most beautiful angel today. I miss and love you. I’ll forever save our last messages of ‘I love you,’” Chrisley wrote.
She added, “Please send me a sign that you’re ok. maybe it’ll be through a ham and cheese crepe. Or pasta with white sauce. or maybe even your favourite carrot cake.”
