The driver is a young boy who is just 21 years old and is from Mandeville. Additionally, the police quoted that Walter Andrew Brister IV of Mandeville had committed this crime. However, the driver is arrested in the hit-and-run case, and they cannot release his photos to the media due to the charges pressed against him.

Brister was driving a black Range Rover SUV. And Jude Jarreau, aged 44, was trying to cross the road. According to the witnesses, Brister hit Jude, and he was dead at the scene in a fraction of a minute.

Some other facts were added by the police saying that Brister is a football player and the son of an Ex-NFL player named Bubby Brister. Brister's lawyer says he has been in touch with the Louisianan law since Sunday.

This crash took place after Sunday midnight. The crime scene is on Ben Hur Road, off Burbank Drive. The arena of this incident has many LSU student housing complexes nearby. Baton police are thankful to all its witnesses who reported this.
