Mick Jones, Foreigner founder has announced his current absence from the farewell tour of the band, beginning in 2022, which has been because of his recent diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.

What was revealed by Mick Jones in the statement?

Mich Jones made the revelation on Wednesday on social media that a few years ago, he got the diagnosis of Parkinson's disease and that presently he is doing well. But he always preferred the idea of being at his best at the time of delivering a performance on stage and unfortunately, currently, he finds it a little hard.

The musician who is 79 years old and is behind hits such as "I Want to Know What Love Is", and "Feels Like the First Time", has stated that he is a part of the background with Foreigner, remaining a presence. He has further said that Parkinson's is an everyday fight, the significant thing is to have perseverance and remind himself of the great career he had in music. He further expressed his gratitude to the fans supporting Foreigner all through the years, continuing to attend their concerts.

The announcement of Mick Jones is arriving a week after the first nomination for the Rock & Roll Hall Hall of Fame 2024. There will be an announcement of the draftees in the later part of April with the return of the ceremony to Cleveland this fall and streaming live again on Disney+.
