Officials received multiple calls for people stranded in vehicles and flooded roads throughout Titusville and Brevard County. News 6 meteorologist David Nazario reported rainfall totals from Sunday morning through evening showed parts of Brevard County receiving close to 11 inches of rain.

National Weather Service issues flash flood warning for Titusville area
The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning for Northwestern Brevard County until 10 p.m. Sunday.Locations expected to experience flash flooding include Titusville, Rockledge, Cocoa, Port Saint John, Sharpes, Titusville Airport, Merritt Island, Canaveral Groves, Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge, Bellwood and Canaveral Acres.
Flash flood warnings indicate dangerous conditions where flooding is imminent or already occurring. Heavy rain events can overwhelm drainage systems and create life-threatening situations on roadways.
Brevard County emergency management officials advise residents to avoid driving through flooded areas, as water depth and road conditions underneath floodwaters are difficult to assess.
