Five-year-old boy gets abducted in Overton
The boy left the house with Medlock around 11 am on Sunday morning. However, neither of them were seen after that. The authorities were called in at 3 am on Monday. The suspect had no permanent address and drove a black Jeep Wrangler 2007.

Zechariah wore a Gray jumpsuit and a pair of black and white tennis shoes. He weighs around 60 pounds, is 3 feet 5 inches, and has black hair and brown eyes. According to the reports, the boy is a Pre-K student at Arp Elementary School. Arp ISD stated that they had alerted the entire school district community to be on the lookout.
According to media reports, Zechariah left home on Sunday morning with the prime suspect, Pamela Medlock, a family friend. Medlock, 59, took the boy to get him a present for his birthday, but neither of them returned. The Smith County Sheriff’s office was alerted around 3 am on Monday morning, after which the hunt for the missing child was underway. Medlock wore a plaid jacket and khaki pants when she left the house with Zechariah.
The Sheriff’s office stated that Medlock did not have a permanent address and reportedly stayed at multiple addresses in Overton and Kilgore neighbourhoods. The suspect’s vehicle was a black Jeep Wrangler 2007 with the license plate number RVZ5847.
While there’s no information on the child's whereabouts, authorities claimed that Zechariah was in grave and immediate danger. Those with any relevant information are requested to contact the Sheriff’s office at 903-566-6600.
