If you want to have an early look at any of the new features, you can sign up for the WhatsApp beta. Scroll further down to know how to download the beta version on your smartphone.

The changes were discovered by the cyber-sleuths at WhatsApp blog WABetaInfo, who dug into the app to uncover the new features.
One of the biggest changes is the ability to detect text in WhatsApp photos, which will allow users to copy and paste it. This feature is currently being tested. Another change that is currently under development is the ability to move WhatsApp chat history between Android phones without the use of Google Drive. This will make it much easier for users to transfer their chat history from one phone to another.
Another change that is being tested in the beta version of the app is the ability to forward media with a caption. This will make it easier for users to share photos and videos with their friends and family, as they will be able to add a caption to explain what the content is about. A block shortcut in the chat list is also under development, which will make it easier for users to block unwanted contacts. Additionally, a camera mode that makes it much easier to record video is also in the works.
It is unclear when these changes will be released to the general public, as WhatsApp could take weeks or even months to roll them out. If you want to have an early look at any of the new features, you can sign up for the WhatsApp beta.
