The Addams Family's first cinematic adaptation Wednesday Addams in 1964 was portrayed by actress Lisa Loring, who passed away at the age of 64 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in California on Saturday. Her daughter Vanessa Foumberg informed The Hollywood Reporter that the actor died due to complications from a stroke brought on by high blood pressure.

Vanessa and Marianne, her children, held her hands as she passed away quietly, according to Foumbergt, who spoke to The Hollywood Reporter.

Loring's "legacy in the world of entertainment" was honoured by her friend Laurie Jacobson. She said that as Wednesday Addams, "she is ingrained in the fabric that is pop culture and in our hearts forever."
