As many as eight Republican leaders will vie to prove that they may be the best person to be the candidate for the U.S. Presidential Election 2024.

First Republican debate: 8 candidates


The GOP leaders who have been allowed to participate in the debate are : Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former UN ambassador Nikki Haley, former Vice President Mike Pence, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, former pharmaceutical executive Vivek Ramaswamy, North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson.


First Republican Debate: Time, Day, and Place


The first Republican debate on the primary for the presidential candidate will be held on Wednesday, August 23 and it will begin at 9 pm ET. It will be held in Milwaukee, WI.

First Republican debate: Where to watch


The GOP primary debate will be broadcast live exclusively on the Fox News channel. It will be available for live streaming on FoxNews.com, Fox Nation and Rumble.

Second Republican Debate


The second debate will be held on September 27 at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library & Museum in Simi Valley, CA. Fox Business will broadcast it live.


Donald Trump not to participate in the debate


Former US President Donald Trump who has confirmed running for the election again has opted out of the debate. He is leading the ranking among the GOP leaders, but he has said that he would not participate in the debate. He is facing indictment in the cases related to resurrection and attack on the Capitol after the results of the presidential election were declared last time.

The Democrats will not hold the primary as the present incumbent Joe Biden will contest the presidential election 2024.
