A small group of burning palms were immediately extinguished by the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) after they arrived on the scene in a hurry. LAFD requested the California Highway Patrol to shut down a lane of traffic.
The venue did not pose any danger, according to a tweet from LAFD, and no injuries were recorded. The fire service claimed that only the trees in the surrounding area caught fire.
This day's 1,423rd emergency, the rather stubborn fire near the Hollywood Bowl, thankfully just involved vegetation and did not warrant an @LAFD ALERT, according to a post from LAFD.
An audience member posted and said that he hoped that everyone was secure. Many families with young children attended that sing-along event; it was terrifying!
Attendees reported that flames arose from nowhere, while the fire's origin was not immediately identified.

One concert-goer said that he didn't know what triggered it. He added that someone indicated it was near the tunnel and was apparently across the street. The concertgoer didn't notice it until he walked down near the hotels just south of the bowl. When he was heading out, it wasn't or didn't seem to be burning.
However, the concert-goer smelled burning down in the underground, so the smoke was apparently moving quickly.
The concert-goer claimed to have been able to see the entire show. He said that it was a lovely night of singing together, and hopefully, that will be the lasting impression that everyone has of tonight.
