‘Finding Michael’ trailer out; Bear Grylls warns Spencer Matthews as he scales Everest to find brother’s body

The nail-biting teaser for Spencer Matthews' upcoming documentary, “Finding Michael,” shows him setting off on the most significant trip of his life: the search for his brother's body.

In 1999, Michael Matthews became the youngest British climber to ever reach the peak of Mount Everest. But, three hours after achieving this incredible feat, Matthews disappeared and was never found.

Spencer, a former Made in Chelsea star, decides to trek to Everest in an amazing turn of events in order to bring Michael home when his family receives a photo of a body that appears to be Michael.


The “Finding Michael” clip, which hinted at a harrowing journey for the father of three, was published on Friday. The documentary will be released on Disney+ on March 3.

He chats with Bear Grylls, a survival expert who himself scaled Everest many years ago, before his journey. Spencer's mother is also seen in the teaser, hoping that her son's body will be discovered. It's a terrible way to go, she adds.

Spencer claims he's doing what his heart tells him to do in order to find Michael at last and get his family the long-overdue closure and serenity they so richly deserve.
