Fidium Fiber services down? Users across America report issues; what do we know so far

Nearly 1700 users of Fidium Fiber across America faced trouble after its services went down on Thursday (November 20, 2025). At the time of filing this report, Downdetector had logged more than 1,641 reports from users experiencing problems.

According to the Downdetector map, issues were faced across the US, with Boston, Houston, and San Francisco being among the affected areas. The outage monitoring and tracking website noted that people were facing problems with Fidium Fiber since 5:05 pm ET. No official cause for the issues is known as of now.

The Fidium services outage comes days after users across the globe faced widespread disruptions on Tuesday as several popular websites, including X (formerly Twitter), ChatGPT, and others, experienced outages linked to issues with the content delivery network provider, Cloudflare. The incident prompted questions over what "please unblock challenges.cloudflare.com to proceed" means and how Cloudflare’s technical glitches are impacting millions of users. An X accounted named Status is Down has also claimed that Fidium is down.




This was, however, not the first time in recent months that users have complained about Fidium Fiber. Several users on X had called out the internet service provider earlier in November and also in October 2025, after facing issues with the services. "Did you cut the Fidium cable? Internet went down around midnight," a user said on X in October, 2025.
