Red Panda, the beloved halftime performer known for her dazzling unicycle bowl-flipping act, suffered a frightening fall during the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final between the Indiana Fever and Minnesota Lynx on Tuesday night.

While attempting her signature routine atop her custom 8-foot-tall unicycle, she lost balance and crashed to the court, unable to finish the show. Grabbing at her left wrist in visible pain, she was assisted off the floor in a wheelchair.



There was no immediate update on the severity of her injuries. Red Panda, whose real name is Rong Niu, is a Chinese American acrobat with decades of performing experience.


Red Panda has been a staple of basketball entertainment for years, performing her high-flying unicycle act at countless games across the country. Most recently, she wowed fans during Game 5 of the NBA Finals last month in Oklahoma City, adding to her long list of high-profile appearances.
