Fever vs Aces: A’ja Wilson stars in Las Vegas Aces' win over Indiana Fever in WNBA

A’ja Wilson scored 18 of her 24 points in the second half to power the Las Vegas Aces to an 89-81 win over the Indiana Fever on Sunday afternoon, extending their dominance over the Fever to 16 straight victories. In just her second game back from a concussion, Wilson overcame a cold first half (2-of-13 shooting) by hitting 6-of-8 shots after the break, helping the Aces (6-7) snap a three-game skid.

Jackie Young added 19 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, while Chelsea Gray chipped in 18 as Las Vegas outscored Indiana 31-20 in the final period. The Aces shot 45.1% from the field and were nearly perfect at the line, converting 19-of-21 free throws.



Las Vegas dominated inside, scoring 40 points in the paint and turning 18 Indiana turnovers into 28 points.

Aliyah Boston led the Fever (6-7) with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell added 20 and Caitlin Clark had 19, despite struggling from deep (1-of-10 on threes).


The Fever shot an efficient 48.6% overall and tallied 52 points in the paint, but their 6-of-23 (26.1%) shooting from beyond the arc proved costly.

The Fever built a 10-point lead late in the first half and led 42-36 at the break. Boston’s early third-quarter basket pushed the advantage to 50-42, but Las Vegas closed the gap to 61-58 entering the fourth and surged ahead for the win.
