Rodney Daniel, a volunteer at the Festival of Trees, is getting a lot of praise for his quick thinking. His act might have saved a lot of lives.
Talking to Fox5, Daniel said as he was walking up the hill, he heard women yelling: ‘we gotta get the car’. He rushed to them to ask what had happened to which they answered that their car was stuck in the train tracks.
Daniel says he looked up and he saw the train coming. His priority was the safety of the women. The four women were not from around town. They took the wrong turn and got stuck on the train tracks.
To stop the fast-approaching train, Daniel took out his phone and waved the light of the phone. The conductor was able to see the light and he managed to stop the train.
The car driver hugged Daniel and thanked him for his timely help. Even though Daniel was such a big help, he refused to take any credit. According to him, God put him in the right place at the right time.
