With the ever-transforming development of technology, the dynamics of e-commerce industry change in the blink. Keeping pace with the global innovations, California Bay Area based Elroy Air and FedEx came to a first of its kind association to make the new age of air delivery possible with its Chaparral C1 autonomous air cargo system. This will be a major step in the delivery of goods.

This is promising a paradigm shift in the scope of e-commerce, most of the drone projects in the commercial bay have laid the groundwork for making last-minute deliveries of a single product to a single vendor at a comparatively close circuit. As much as it was useful in times of emergencies, the delivery turned out to be not so economic, with an added alert of taking away a lot of time.

This flagship initiative is designed with the capacity of fitting a C-130 cargo jet solving the purpose of deployment anytime, anywhere, in a seamless flow. It can also contain a 40-foot shipping container sorting the logistics of shipment at ease.

FedEx claims to test the deployment of these drones for its operations carried forward in the middle mile logistics. A game-changer that this automated transportation is going to be, Chaparral C1 will pursue its certifications and tests in 2023.
