There are strong chances of a possible US stock market crash which could be due to a high probability of recession in the US markets, if the Federal Reserve Bank of New York is to be believed. Can US investors avoid losses during a stock market crash?

If a recession indeed were to arrive in the next 12 months, the national economy could take a major hit and the stock market crash could become a resulting factor. However, Warren Buffett, the top market guru at Wall Street and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway is of the opinion that there should be a string of wise and timely investments that could help US investors take the brunt of any incoming recession or a stock market crash.

If Buffett's earlier prediction from 2008 is observed, which was the year the country had plunged into the Great Recession, he had said that recessions are only temporary and the silver lining needs to be found amid everything else.

Looking into the bigger picture

Buffett is also of the opinion that he cannot help in monitoring the short-term movements of the US stock market, but he generally looks at the bigger picture around Wall Street, the national economy, and related US stocks that could be the future, a trick that has always worked for him across decades now.
