Universal's highly anticipated, "Fast X," is preparing to dominate the global box office. Projections indicate that the film is set to make a powerful debut with a minimum of $60 million in North America and at least $220 million in international markets. These estimates suggest that "Fast X" is aiming to achieve a remarkable worldwide opening weekend gross of $280 million.

Regarding the domestic box office forecast, the anticipated $60 million start for "Fast X" falls short of the most recent installment, "F9: The Fast Saga," which opened with $70 million and eventually accumulated $173 million during its theatrical run in North America. It's important to note that these numbers were achieved during a time of COVID-related restrictions when only 80% of theatres were operational, and overall attendance had not fully recovered.

In comparison to previous "Fast" films before the pandemic, such as "The Fate of the Furious" in 2017 with a $98 million debut, "Furious 7" in 2015 setting a series record of $148 million opening, and "Fast and Furious 6" in 2013 with a $97 million debut, "Fast X" falls considerably behind.

'Fast X'

Fast X has gained significant hype, thanks to the cast and franchise. Under the direction of Louis Leterrier, "Fast X" takes audiences on an exhilarating journey alongside Vin Diesel's iconic street racer, Dom Toretto, and his loyal crew. This time, they are confronted by their most formidable adversary to date with a promising cast including John Cena, Jason Momoa and Michelle Rodriguez, to name a few.
