Following a string of bigoted and offensive remarks by Kanye West, Balenciaga declared that they would no longer be working with the rapper. During the third-quarter earnings report presented on Thursday, Kering, the parent company of Balenciaga, stated to Women’s Wear Diary (WWD) that they clearly stated that Balenciaga is no longer associated with Kanye West.

For quite some time now, Balenciaga has been distancing itself from Kanye West. Recently, Kanye West made a controversial appearance on Drink Champs, a podcast where he stated that George Floyd wasn’t murdered but died of a fentanyl overdose. He made more intolerant remarks. This sparked a controversy.

Shortly after this, on October 17, Balenciaga issued a statement stating they were deleting all the runway looks of Kanye West from Balenciaga’s Spring 2023 show at Paris Fashion Week from Vogue Runway.



Kanye West is all set to launch his own line called YZY SZN 9. He became a model and was seen wearing a White Lives Matter shirt for the line’s premier.
