Rolling Stone ranked Beach Boys the 12th best music artists of all time. However, by 1984, heavy drugs led to brain damage and paranoid schizophrenia in Brian, Forbes reported. In February 2024, people found out Brian had dementia.
Wilson’s life
Born on June 20, 1942 and brought up in the Hawthorne neighbourhood of California, a small town near LA airport, Brian was the oldest among his three siblings. His younger brothers were Dennis and Carl. Their father, Murry Wilson, wanted to be a songwriter but was very strict and harsh.Brian said in his 1991 autobiography, Wouldn’t It Be Nice: My Own Story, “Although he saw himself as a loving father who guided his brood with a firm hand, he abused us psychologically and physically, creating wounds that never healed,” as mentioned in the report by the magazine Rolling Stone
