During a PAX West interview, Matt Booty, an Xbox executive, shared that progress is being made on the Fable reboot and that Playground Games is incorporating "a lot of exciting elements" into the franchise. However, Booty expressed that he is unable to showcase any of the progress yet, as the team has made it clear that nothing will be revealed until it's fully ready.

While this may indicate that the game is still in development for several more years, it does provide the first substantial update about the game in a long time.
