EXO wins first music show trophy for “First Snow,” 10 years after the song’s release

EXO won their first music show award for "First Snow" after a decade since its release. Despite no new episode on December 29, "Music Bank" revealed this week's winner on its website.

EXO won their first trophy with "First Snow," amassing an impressive 4,543 points on the Music Bank K-Chart from December 18 to 24.

"Originally featured as a B-side on their 2013 winter mini-album "Miracles in December," the track "First Snow" consistently makes its way back onto Korean music charts annually with the arrival of the first snow.


This year, it has gained additional attention through a trending dance challenge set to a sped-up version of the song, resulting in it going viral.

On December 19, the song achieved the No. 1 spot on Melon’s Top 100 chart for the first time. In this week's rankings, Red Velvet’s “Chill Kill” secured second place with a total score of 3,313, while Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon’s “To. X” claimed the third spot with a score of 2,478.”

The song, with its ballad pop style and festive carol theme, tells a story of being reunited with a loved one on the first day of snow and celebrating the holidays together.
