Ex-wife of Armie Hammer, Elizabeth Chambers says she stands 'in solidarity with alleged victims

Elizabeth Chambers has finally spoken about the new documentary named House of Hammer. This documentary centres on the sexual violence allegations against Armie Hammer, the estranged husband of Elizabeth. On the cover story of E! News published on September 21, Elizabeth said that many times she was "reached out to about the documentary."

Elizabeth Chambers's stand:

The actress said that she considers herself a feminist and that she "stands in solidarity" with people who have been a victim. Elizabeth further added that she hopes those victims "find that healing."

In July 2020, Armie and Elizabeth separated after being husband-wife for ten years. A few months later, several women came forward with sexual assault allegations against Armie, and he became entangled in the controversy. Courtney Vucekovich and Julia Morrison are the two alleged victims who related their stories in a discovery+ documentary House of Hammer.


With her "support system" around her, Elizabeth resolved to watch the documentary having three parts. She confirmed it to E!News.

Watching the documentary was 'heartbreaking' on so many levels for her:

She said watching it was "excruciating" and "obviously heartbreaking" on many levels. The Game Plan actress acknowledged that what she observed in the documentary "surprised" her. She added that this moment should be taken as "a moment to listen and to learn" because she thinks this is all that can do.

Elizabeth also admitted that both are co-parenting their son Ford,5, and Harper,7, and are still in touch. Adding that being in a different country delayed their divorce, but they're in a great place. She said that both are trying to be together "in a non-romantic way" as much as they can for their kids because kids need their dads and their moms.

The documentary House of Hammer, featuring shocking allegations concerning the alleged behaviour of Armie, came out on September 2. In the documentary, two of the alleged victim accused the disgraced actor of doing sexual violence. Armie's aunt Casey Hammer was also featured in the documentary, and she shed more light on the Hammer family's troubling history, including Julian Hammer, Armie's grandfather, and Armand Hammer, his great-grandfather.


Though Armie did not share his side of the story in the documentary, he vehemently denied all the accusations against him.
