According to the online platform Kbizoom, Menglong, also known as Alan Yu, said in a message that he was being manipulated by a powerful figure and held captive in a dark apartment with no escape.

“Every time I see the money they transfer, I vomit. That money isn’t earned by me—it’s dirty. I must say goodbye now, Mother. They may come and kill me anytime. I’m not joking, and I’m not hallucinating,” the message stated, as quoted by Kbizoom.

According to reports, none of these claims have been confirmed by law enforcement or independent investigators. The actor reportedly died on September 11, 2025, in Beijing, China.

Netizens demand transparency in Yu Menglong’s death case

As the mystery behind the killing of Menglong, 37, continues, netizens are demanding full transparency, including the release of CCTV footage, forensic reports, autopsy results, and witness testimony, Kbizoom reported.

However, netizens argue that the numerous unresolved anomalies, suppressed social media posts, missing persons, and mass relocations make it hard to accept the idea of a simple accident. The latest set of developments emerged days after audio recordings allegedly captured the moment Alan Yu’s abdomen was cut open to retrieve a USB drive, according to The Vision Times. The audio recordings emerged online along with a video reportedly recorded by a neighbor through a peephole. The actor reportedly died on September 11, 2025, in Beijing, China.

The Vision Times stated that a Chinese X profile, “News Investigation” or “Investigative Journalism” (name loosely transferred from Chinese to English), shared the purported video and audio clip of Yu being cut open to remove a USB drive, and the video allegedly recorded by a neighbor that apparently showed the assailant.
