Everton midfielder Dele Alli in talks with Besiktas but £10 million clause proves tough on him
Dele Alli has a tough future ahead with not finding his form in Everton as Tottenham Hotspur has stalled his transfer with a £10 million clause even stifling his chances of a transfer to Besiktas.

However, in 2022 Everton, which is the blue half of Merseyside feels differently about Alli and totally opposite to what their rivals the red half of Merseyside "missed out". If for financial reasons the Tottenham Hotspurs decide to send off Ali to Besiktas then Everton would show nothing beyond a casual shrug of the shoulders, so to speak.
This is a sorry turn of events for a player who was the toast of the England team with 37 caps for his country and helped reach Tottenham to the finals of the Champions League.
Alli did want to do well for his side when he was signed on February 1st. Frank Lampard got him to Everton from Tottenham and for that Everton has agreed to pay £10 million to the Hotspurs once Alli makes his 20 appearances for Everton. Now, this has proved too costly for Everton and the owners are all blaming Frank Lampard that he has indeed messed it up. So the door that Lampard showed Alli to come into Everton is now being left open for Alli to move on to Besiktas if he wants to. Somehow the transfer of Alli from Tottenham has not proved a win-win scenario for anyone.
Everton wants that their side performs and with a 2018 in-form Alli that would be possible. Frank Lampard still feels that Alli has it in him to provide the goals the side desperately needs. But now the ask seems a little farfetched. If Alli leaves for Turkey to join Besiktas he would be going without a single goal being scored by him for Everton. In the meantime, fans are really irked by the fact that Alli arrived at the club on a Rolls Royce for training. The Everton players in the club didn’t expect him in a Ford Fiesta to be precise as they didn’t want a luxury product to fight a war that has them with their backs against relegation. Lampard hopes that Alli can help the side win and reignite his career after Everton fought back from trailing 2-0 against Crystal Palace and coming out to win 3-2.
