Euphoria Season 3: Rosalia, Marshawn Lynch, Kadeem Hardison and more join cast, production underway

The hit high school drama Euphoria is finally returning after three years. The makers have officially started production on season three this week after a long delay.

The Emmy-winning HBO show has introduced some new cast members for this season, while also saying goodbye to some of the actors from previous seasons.

Grammy-winning artist Rosalia, Super Bowl champ Marshawn Lynch and A Different World star Kadeem Hardison have joined the cast, HBO announced on the social media platform X.


Other new cast members joining the series include Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Toby Wallace, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Priscilla Delgado, James Landry Hebert, and Anna Van Patten.

Which members of the original cast are returning?

Most of the main cast will be back for season three, including Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow. Martha Kelly and Chloe Cherry have been made regular cast members. Colman Domingo will also return, but as a guest star.

Who is not returning from the old cast?

Nika King, Austin Abrams, and Algee Smith are not included in HBO’s list of returning cast members.

Storm Reid, who plays Rue's sister Gia, also confirmed in November that her character wouldn’t appear in the upcoming episodes.

Barbie Ferreira, who portrayed Kat, left the series in August 2022.

The second season of Euphoria premiered in January 2022 and was HBO’s second-most-watched show at the time, only behind Game of Thrones.

Season three will include a time jump, moving the younger characters beyond their high school years. While a premiere date hasn’t been set, it’s expected to arrive in 2026.

Created, written, directed, and executive produced by Sam Levinson, the series has earned 25 Emmy nominations and won nine awards.

HBO and A24 co-produce the show, with Sam Levinson serving as the creator and showrunner.
