Euan Blair son of former UK Prime Minister was awarded MBE just 6 months after father Tony Blair was awarded a knighthood
Euan Blair, son of the former prime minister of the UK, Tony Blair recently received the honor of being awarded an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) for services to education

Stating that he owes the honor to the staff at his tech start-up, Mr. Blair said, “It’s a real honor to receive this recognition, but it's on behalf of an organization full of people who are working tirelessly to build a truly outstanding alternative to university. ”Multiverse’s growth is testament to the power of apprenticeships to widen access to top jobs and give employers the skilled talent they need.”
Blair’s London-based company is a Tech-education based start-up that helps people with apprenticeships routes into their preferred fields of work. The company which was originally named WhiteHat raised a whopping amount of 130 Million dollars last year from Investors in the United States. His apprenticeship training business was valued at approximately 700 million pounds in its last private funding round. Blair’s interest in the financial aspects of the education policy convinced him to found his start-up. He argues that academics are not everything and that his nation’s obsession with academics is holding back talented people with potential from minority groups and failing to serve the needs of employers in the digital age. Blair said that as a student who was studying ancient history at the University of Bristol before going on to Yale, he didn’t love studying but during his growing years university was seen as the only route to the best-paying jobs.
Blair’s honor comes only 6 months after his father, Sir Tony Blair was awarded a prestigious knighthood by the Queen. The 38-year-old says that his life’s mission is to make sure the best jobs in the next decade don’t just go to the same people who got the best jobs for the last decade.”
