A pig created havoc and kept the New Jersey Police on tenterhooks for quite some time before being captured. According to media reports, Albert Einswine escaped from a New Jersey farm and led cops on a wild chase before they were able to 'apprehend' the pesky porker. It got loose and somehow escaped from a local pig farm in Deptford Township on Tuesday and evaded arrest as long as it could. Deptford Township Police Department posted a video online to show officers trying in vain to lasso Albert.

"We are all friends here"

It can be seen in the video that each time the policemen get close, the pig squeals and runs away as an officer filming laughs. The cop tries to tell the animal, "We are all friends here."

Detective Sgt. Bob Jones told WPVI, "The video doesn’t show the whole thing. We had to chase the pig for a quarter mile. They’re faster than they look." He added, "He got pretty far for what it was. I don’t know where he was going to go."

"Not Funny"

New Jersey Cops could be heard laughing as they watched a fellow officer try and lasso the pig. They said that the 4-year-old pig was captured after about 30 minutes of chase. Jones joked, "Cops chasing a pig is never not funny." Jones joked. "He wasn’t listening. He didn’t listen to our commands at all."

"Mr. Einswine released on his own recognizance"

The police said eventually the owner came by to retrieve the pig. The police department said, "The suspect was identified as Albert Einswine, a 4-year-old pig from the New Sharon section of Deptford Township. Mr Einswine was released on his own recognizance."
