The 31st season of the star-studded show "Dancing with the Stars" is on now. The show, for the first time, has shifted from ABC to Disney+. It means that viewers can watch two hours of live entertainment without any commercials. Interestingly, the two-hour telecast of the show on ABC equals 86 minutes of broadcast on Disney+; therefore, the producers were asked to find a way to fill the remaining 34 minutes. The show's executive producer, Conrad Green, called this requirement a "big challenge" for them this season.

However, one of the ways in which the time is being filled is the return of the skybox, wherein co-host Alfonso Ribeiro would talk to dancers and celebrities. Green said that the addition of Alfonso to the team was "great" as he was friends with many of the dancers and was passionate about it. Green said of Alfonso that he brings humor to the show and a genuine interest in the journeys of celebrities. Green added that Alfonso understands what is required for the show as he is a former champion of the show.

The season premiered with the return of celebrities, Louis van Amstel and Mark Ballas, who had been unavailable for the previous seasons. The premiere was filled with emotional moments. Wayne Brady danced for his grandmother, who recently died, and got choked up after securing the first eight seats at the premiere. Later in the episode, Selma Blair also danced, and her performance made everyone's eyes wet. In 2018, Selma was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Selma also could not control her tears after she got overwhelmed with emotion.

Every beginning has an end. Every star dies. Some fade quietly into the cosmic darkness. The bigger ones go out in a burst of colour and fury. NASA has released a picture of the Southern Ring Nebula which shows a dying star with a foamy edge of escaping gas. This material goes on to form new stars in the time ahead. Every end has a beginning too.
