Emmys 2022 awards: Time, date you need to know
This year the 74th EMMYS award night, a mega event for the cine industry is to be held in the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12.

The 74th Emmys are just around the corner. Major networks, Hollywood and TV personalities, TV production houses, and the who's who of the cinematic world are expected to adorn the Microsoft Theatre in LA.
Every individual is expected to tune in to this mega razzmatazz from around the globe and check out the various stars who will be coming for the event.
This show is expected to be the most talked about performance for a long time, just like every other year. The winners and the losers would be hailed and paraded by the general public because only the crème-de la crème make it to the top of the Emmys.
Those who plan to tune into NBC at around 8 PM Eastern Standard Time can also see the program on the streaming platform Peacock. One hundred eighteen awards are up for grabs at the Emmys, which isn't a one-day affair.
The celebration of the Emmys is for good four days, and various awards will be announced over that period. An edited version will be aired for the benefit of all on September 10, 8 PM EST on FXX.
In India, the Lionsgate Play would show the Emmys from 5:30 AM on September 13.
Kenan Thompson, the presenter of Saturday Night Live, has been chosen to host this year's Emmys for the first time. The organizers were careful this time and didn't fall for experiments like they did in 2019 when they did away with a presenter completely.
Most critics had panned the glitzy show that year as it was devoid of entertainment and didn't go down well with the attendees. Some of the shows in the fray this year include "Ted Lasso," "Succession, "Squid Game," and "Only Murders in the building," to name a few. Some nominated actors are Jason Sudeikis, Jean Smart, and Zendaya. Some surprising shows that have made it to the nominations list this year are "This is Us" and "The Closer."
It is expected that more than 17,000 people who are members of the TV academy can nominate and decide winners in 14 categories. The categories include drama, comedy, and limited series.

The list of Emmy nominees in key categories for the 74th Emmy Awards is out.
