Emmett Till biopic trailer out now: Watch a mother's heart-wrenching struggle for justice
MGM Studios has released the first trailer of Till. The movie is based on the lynching of Emmet Louis Till by a few white men in Mississippi in 1955.

The trailer portrays Emmet Till as a fun-loving kid, who hailed from Chicago. Till was tortured and killed by some white men in Mississippi while on a summer vacation with his cousin. Till was 14-year-old when lynched.
The trailer also exhibits the courage and determination of Emmet Louis Till's mother Mamie Till-Mobley. The movie shows her journey to seek justice for her only son's inhumane death. Actor Danielle Deadwyler will play the role of Emmet Louis Till's mother.

The movie Till's screenplay has been jointly written by Chinonye Chukwu, Keith Beauchamp, and Michael Reilly. Besides writing the screenplay, Chukwu also directed this film. Chukwu received Grand Jury Prize for her film Clemency at the Sundance Film Festival.
The movie is produced by Beauchamp, Reilly, Barbara Broccoli, Thomas K. Levine, Goldberg, and Frederick Zollo.
The film features many stars, including Danielle Deadwyler, Jalyn Hall, Jayme Lawson, Whoopi Goldberg, Frankie Faison, Tosin Cole, John Douglas Thompson, and Haley Bennett.
Notably, Mamie Till-Mobley's decision to hold an open-casket funeral for her son was an arousing moment in the history of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States.
