Billionaire and DOGE administrator Elon Musk recently took to X to ridicule a group of Democratic Senators for featuring in, and sharing, near-identical videos to blame President Donald Trump for a rise in inflation. The posts were shared after Trump’s address to the Congress.

The video montages, which open with the same footage of Trump promising to "bring prices down starting on day one", were shared by at least 22 Democratic lawmakers. The clips show the politicians criticising Trump’s policies and claiming that inflation has risen instead of going down in his term.

Elon Musk insults Democrats

Reacting to the video messages, Musk aimed a barrage of insults at the speakers. In a series of posts on X, he vowed to buy a Tesla Cybertruck for anyone who could reveal the script writer behind the "same cringe videos". He also took a dig at the Democratic Senators by suggesting that all of them held the mike like a teenager shooting TikTok videos.

Ted Cruz, Chuck Schumer among Senators targeted by Elon Musk

The Senators who posted the videos include Ted Cruz, Chuck Schumer, Elizabeth Warren, and other high-profile Democratic Congress members. In another post, Musk described the scripted videos as the "worst puppet show ever". He also highlighted a lack of originality in the message delivery, asking, "Can’t someone be bothered to write three speeches? This is just lazy [laughing emoji]."

Musk, in another post, once again explored the question about the identity of the script writer in a different post and called it the "real question". In the said post, he also reiterated his insinuation that the senators appearing in the videos were "puppets". Musk reposted a video montage showing three of the videos from different senators side-by-side and wrote, "They are all actors reading a script."
