On the decentralised prediction site Polymarket, the odds that Trump will be impeached in 2025 jumped after Musk publicly supported the idea of removing the US president from office and suggested that Vice President JD Vance should take his place, according to Benzinga.As of June 11, the odds on the Polymarket contract titled "Will Trump be impeached in 2025?" had risen to 10%, up from 8% just last week, as per the report. The market had previously peaked at 14% in mid-April before interest cooled, until Musk reignited the conversation, according to Benzinga.

Musk–Trump Clash
Musk’s support for impeaching Trump came amid a growing feud between him and the US president. The clash between them began after Musk criticised Trump’s "big, beautiful bill," which surprised and disappointed Trump, as per the report. According to the report, over $819,000 has been wagered on the outcome. Benzinga pointed out that, "The market will vote “Yes” if the House of Representatives votes by a simple majority to adopt or pass one or more articles of impeachment against Trump."Benzinga also wrote, "The House has the sole power to initiate the impeachment. The Senate then has the sole power to hold a trial and decide whether to convict or acquit the president."
