Elon Musk makes 'Hummus' joke during discussion on Israel-Hamas conflict

Tesla CEO Elon Musk made a distasteful joke during an episode of Joe Rogan's podcast when the conversation touched on the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. This is the billionaire entrepreneur's fourth time on the podcast and he was seen wearing Halloween attire complete with a silk scarf and a jacket, which he jokingly called "half-dressed as the wizard of Australia."

During the course of the conversation, Rogan brought up The New York Times' coverage of Elon Musk, while acknowledging the challenges several high-profile people face, stating, "If you're a high-profile figure like yourself, it's impossible to make everybody happy. So, there's going to be someone that says something s***** about you."

He then questioned whether print media had a greater impact, given that more people would read negative comments about Musk.


Musk responded, "Essentially, an article in The New York Times is just a single person's opinion, and whatever editor gets involved." He also expressed his difficulty in reading The New York Times these days.

Rogan pointed out, "Well, unfortunately, they make some grave errors. Like that Hamas bombing the -"

At this point, Musk playfully interrupted, saying, "Hummus?" Both Musk and Rogan shared a laugh over this clever wordplay.

The conversation in the podcast also touched upon Musk's recent acquisition of Twitter, now known as X, which he described as a "recipe for trouble." Musk explained that he proceeded with the acquisition because he was concerned about Twitter's potential corrosive effect on civilization.
