Billionaire Elon Musk has claimed that his crew in DOGE would be looking into members of Congress whose wealth had increased significantly even though they get relatively modest paychecks, reported Daily Mail. The world's richest man revealed this during a town hall in Wisconsin on Sunday, where he also awarded two $1 million cash awards and made headlines over his clever jabs at a protester among his audience, as per the report.

Elon Musk Asks How Congress Members Accumulate Wealth

Musk, who is estimated to be worth $343 billion, has been a longtime critic of what he sees as the fiscal success of professional politicians, as per Daily Mail. While giving his speech, he expressed his doubts about how some lawmakers have accumulated enormous wealth when they had been receiving average congressional wages, reported Daily Mail.

He said, "A lot of strangely wealthy members of Congress, where I just can't, I'm trying to connect the dots of how they became rich," quoted Daily Mail. Musk also asked "How'd they get $20 million if they're earning $200,000 a year? Nobody can explain that.," as quoted in the report. He then went on to say, "We're gonna try to figure it out, and certainly stop it from happening," quoted Daily Mail.
